Happy Fall Ya’ll! Football Season is here which brings cooler temperatures which I am enjoying thoroughly! For those of you that golf, now is the time to get out and enjoy the game! It isn’t scorching hot and miserable! Just for the record, my game is improving and I even have my husband playing now! To date I am still beating him, but I know that will change soon. We are both extremely competitive people and he isn’t going to allow me to continue to beat him very much longer. Kory completed the first tee program at the Smyrna golf course this summer and is playing great to for an eight year old. Thank goodness he isn’t AS competitive as mom and dad - ha!

I wanted to clear the air on a very heated subject! I know there have been several articles that have people up in arms recently about our market and what is happening in it! I am pleased to inform you that we are still in an extremely healthy market and sales are still coming in at a very steady pace. The article in the paper last week talking about our decline in the market place had my phone ringing and I can assure you that isn’t the case. I want to share a quote with you from my good friend and fellow Realtor Richard Courtney, who is our incoming President at the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors.
"Those property owners reading this column have survived the recent headlines exclaiming that area home sales 'skid' and the reporting that there was a 'sharp' decline in sales in August. The fact of the matter is that there were over 3,700 sales, and that there were 22 less single-family homes sold in August 2006 as compared to August 2005.
"...Hopefully, the doomsday presentation did not cause any heart attacks, strokes or suicides because the sales numbers actually reported a strong market as the median sales price rose from $164,000 in August 2005 to $184,000 in August 2006. That's right -- it rose 12 percent."
I hope this information will give some of you peace of mind, especially those of you currently in the market to buy or sell or those of you thinking about it! Have no fear - we are still listing and selling houses!
**SAVE THE DATE**
Those of you with children will want to go ahead and mark December 2nd on your calendars as a date with the Cooke Team. We are planning an event for our younger fans and clients! We are having cookies with Santa and movie to get the holiday season kicked off in style. Continue to read your e-newsletters, and watch our website for additional details and information. We are looking forward to a great day~
Well, in closing I will ask that you keep us in mind for your referrals and pray for our TITANS (I think we are in for a LOOOOOOONG season)!
Sincerely,
Kendra Cooke

| Bathroom Light Replacement
If your bathroom light is a tacky fluorescent, replace it with a decorative vanity light.
Materials:
- Flat- and Phillips-head screwdrivers
- Circuit tester
- Needle-nose pliers to bend and shape wires
- Wire nuts
- Dry-wall-mounted junction box
- Toggle bolts or wood screws to secure new light fixture
- Safety goggles
Steps:
1. Turn off the power to the circuit at the breaker box. 2. Remove the cover and bulb from the existing fixture, then detach the base of the fixture (figure A). Use a circuit tester to make sure the power is off, disconnect the wires from the fixture, and remove it from the wall. If the original light was mounted without a junction box, you'll need to install one to comply with building codes. 3. Attach a mounting bracket for the new fixture to the junction box (figure B). 4. Connect the wires for the new fixture. Attach black to black and white to white, and secure the connections with wire nuts. 5. Press the wires back into the box (figure C), and attach the new fixture to the mounting plate. 6. Insert the bulbs and attach any shades or covers. Then turn the power back on at the breaker box.
